Agreement and eligibility

By using CurbScoop, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 and able to enter into a binding agreement. If you use CurbScoop for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.

What CurbScoop provides

CurbScoop organizes property, listing, market, and public-record information into owner dashboards, comparisons, alerts, and value context. Features and coverage may change as the service develops.

CurbScoop is not an appraisal, brokerage, valuation opinion, or legal, tax, investment, lending, or financial advice. Market and public-record data can be incomplete, delayed, estimated, or incorrect. Verify important information with the original source and an appropriate professional before making a transaction or financial decision.

Your account and acceptable use

You are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding secure dashboard links, and activity performed through them. Tell us promptly if you believe a link or account has been compromised.

You may not:

• Use CurbScoop unlawfully or to violate another person’s privacy or rights.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or bypass access controls except where the law expressly permits it.
• Resell, republish, or systematically extract CurbScoop data or use it to build a competing database without written permission.
• Misrepresent your identity or submit information you are not authorized to use.

Accounts and subscriptions

Plans include a monthly allowance of research credits. One credit opens a property or runs a search. Credits belong to the account, reset on the 1st of each month and do not roll over. Free includes one watched property and 10 credits a month. Pro costs $39.99 per month and includes 1,000 credits a month, 100 watched properties, and full data and neighborhood signals. Scale costs $99.99 per month and includes 5,000 credits a month, 500 watched properties, and full data and neighborhood signals.

Paid plans renew monthly until canceled. The price and any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. Existing subscriptions retain their agreed price, billing period and trial terms. Changes to a recurring price take effect after any advance notice required by law.

Cancellation and billing

You can manage or cancel an active subscription at any time from your account using “Manage billing.” Cancellation stops future renewals and normally takes effect at the end of the current paid period. Cancel before a trial ends to avoid the first charge. You can also contact alerts@curbscoop.com if the self-service control is unavailable.

Except where the law requires otherwise, payments are nonrefundable and we do not provide credits for partial billing periods. Stripe processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.

Deal submissions

You may submit facts about New York City transactions you took part in, such as a sale, loan or lease and its price, terms and parties. When you submit, you grant CurbScoop a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable license to use, store, verify, modify, combine, display and distribute those facts, including in the service, our data products and to other customers. If you ask us to show your name or brokerage on a deal, you also allow us to display them with it; otherwise we show the deal without attribution.

You represent that each submission is accurate to the best of your knowledge, that the transaction has closed, and that you have the right to share it. Do not submit confidential information, information you are bound by contract, law or professional duty not to disclose, or personal information beyond the names of parties to the transaction. We may verify submissions against public records, reject or remove any submission, and take back credits granted for submissions we later find to be inaccurate, duplicated or abusive.

Credits earned from submissions are a promotional allowance for use in CurbScoop only. They are not cash, have no cash value, cannot be sold, transferred or exchanged, and are not refunded when an account closes. Credits are granted only after a submission is verified, are limited per account each month, are used after your plan's monthly credits, and expire 12 months after they are granted. We may change or end the program going forward; changes do not affect credits already granted before they expire.

Ownership and feedback

CurbScoop and its software, design, and original content are protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, revocable right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership. If you send feedback, you allow us to use it without restriction or payment, without identifying you publicly unless you agree.

Availability and termination

We work to keep CurbScoop useful and available, but do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that every property or market event will be covered. We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, legal risk, nonpayment, or a material breach of these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

Disclaimers and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CurbScoop is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, or noninfringement. We do not warrant the accuracy or completeness of property data or estimated value context.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CurbScoop will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or property value. Our total liability for claims relating to the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid CurbScoop in the 12 months before the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law.

Governing law and changes

New York law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts located in New York County, New York will have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

We may update these Terms as CurbScoop changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when required. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the revised Terms.
