Privacy should be as legible as your value read.
This policy explains what CurbScoop collects, why we need it, who helps us operate the service, and the choices you have.
The short version
We use your email to open your private dashboard and send requested updates. We use your property address and unit details to build the owner read. We do not send either to Google Analytics, and Analytics loads only after you allow it.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Email address and, if provided, your name or contact details.
- The property address, unit number, and optional details such as bedrooms, bathrooms, size, and property type.
- Alert preferences, feedback, watched properties, and subscription choices.
Information created while you use CurbScoop
- Secure dashboard-link activity, saved watches, alert history, and basic service logs needed to operate and protect the product.
- Campaign information such as UTM parameters and advertising click identifiers when you allow Analytics. We associate this information with a signup so we can understand which campaigns produce completed setup and trials.
- Google Analytics usage data, such as pages viewed, device/browser information, approximate location, and funnel events, only after you select “Allow analytics.”
Property-market information may also come from public NYC records and listing or property-data sources. That information is about the property and market, not information you directly submit about yourself.
How we use information
- Match your property and create the dashboard, comparisons, and value context you request.
- Send secure dashboard links, service messages, and alerts based on your settings.
- Process subscriptions, maintain access, prevent abuse, diagnose problems, and improve CurbScoop.
- Measure campaign performance and product conversion when you have allowed Analytics.
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms.
We do not sell personal information. We do not use your email or property address to personalize advertising or send it to Google Analytics.
Service providers
We use providers that process information on our behalf to run CurbScoop:
- Vercel for website and application hosting.
- Supabase for database infrastructure.
- Resend for service emails and owner alerts.
- Stripe for checkout, subscription billing, and payment management. CurbScoop does not receive your full card number.
- Google Analytics for consented traffic and conversion measurement.
Google explains how it processes information from sites using its services on its Business Data Responsibility page.
We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect CurbScoop or others, or as part of a business transaction subject to appropriate safeguards.
Analytics choices and local storage
CurbScoop uses browser storage for necessary features such as keeping you signed in, remembering a watched property, and retaining your display preferences. Separately, if you allow Analytics, we load Google Analytics and store your analytics choice, a random measurement identifier, and campaign attribution in your browser.
You can decline Analytics or change your selection at any time with “Analytics choices” in the site footer. Declining does not prevent you from using CurbScoop. Clearing browser storage may sign you out or reset saved preferences.
Retention and security
We keep account, property, subscription, and service records for as long as reasonably needed to provide CurbScoop, maintain security, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods can differ by record type. We use HTTPS and access controls, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can change alert settings from your owner dashboard, manage an active paid subscription from Owner Settings, and change Analytics choices from the footer. You may also ask to access, correct, or delete information connected to your account. Some records may be retained where required for security, billing, or legal compliance.
Send privacy requests to alerts@curbscoop.com. We may need to verify that you control the relevant email account before fulfilling a request.
Children and changes
CurbScoop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
We may update this policy as the product or law changes. We will update the date above and provide additional notice when a change is material.
